    Description

Civil War illustrated lithograph of Camp Chase showing the 12th Rhode Island Regt Vols, scene of tents, soldiers standing guard and others milling around.   In background, several large buildings possibly to house Confederate prisoners.
Image area within gold border is 7x10 inches approximately, surrounded by large border from 3.5 to 4 inches.  Overall F-VF
with tiny spot in sky at left of buildings in background among the trees in a hill.
The 12th Rhode Island Infantry Vols was commanded by Col. George H. Browne but his last name is missing the e.  Excellent multicolored imprint for the Rhode Island collector especially and also Camp Chase.  Images done by Rosenthal are quite rare when compared to Charles Magnus.
Image is too large to fit on my scanner so have made two scans.  Some paper chips out of edges of the large borders, cannot be seen when matted.
